Welcome to Marshall in the Middle! My name is William Marshall. I’m a retired Army veteran and former Airborne Jumpmaster First Sergeant. I proudly host the Marshall in the Middle podcast and YouTube channel. My journey has taken me through the military. I served in the 82nd Airborne Division. I won accolades like the NCO of the Year. I also received the Jumpmaster of the Year award. I also deployed to places like Kosovo. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the sacrifice and resilience of my fellow servicemen and women. This inspired me to launch my Heroes I Know series. I interview veterans and share their incredible stories.
Beyond my military career, I’m also passionate about community, family, and spirituality. Along with my wife, Pennie, we enjoy studying A Course in Miracles and deepening our understanding of life’s purpose. Music is another big part of my life. I play in a country band. I do classic rock covers. Occasionally, I write songs about life’s twists and turns.
